Triberg Waterfalls

The Triberg Waterfalls cascade through seven distinct levels, dropping 163 meters along the Gutach River through dense forest vegetation.

The waterfalls became a tourist destination in the 19th century when the Black Forest Railway made the region accessible to travelers.

The waterfalls feature educational panels explaining the local ecosystem and traditional Black Forest customs along three different hiking routes.

Visitors can access the falls through five different entrances, with the main entrance located within walking distance from Triberg town center.

During winter evenings until 22:00, illumination systems create white light patterns on the flowing water and frozen sections of the falls.
