Biebrich Palace, Royal palace in Biebrich district, Wiesbaden, Germany.

Biebrich Palace is a baroque structure with three wings extending along the Rhine, topped by a central rotunda decorated with statues of ancient gods. A large English landscape garden surrounds the buildings, offering open green spaces for walking and exploration.

Prince Georg August Samuel of Nassau-Idstein began construction in 1702, transforming a small garden house into a grand princely residence. The palace served as the seat of the Nassau family for over two centuries, becoming a defining landmark in the region.

Today the palace houses administrative offices and hosts concerts, film festivals, and conferences throughout the year. Visitors can experience the grounds during celebrations and special events, which keeps the space active and connected to local community life.

The grounds are best explored on foot, with well-marked paths through the garden that are easy to walk. A riverside café with seating offers a good place to rest and take in views of the water.

Artificial ruins known as Mosburg stand within the grounds, representing a romantic architectural experiment from the early 1800s. These decorative fragments were a fashionable garden feature of that era, adding a theatrical quality to the landscape.
