Schlosspark Biebrich

Schlosspark Biebrich is a large park on the Rhine with winding paths and planted areas that stretch along the river for a considerable distance. The grounds combine natural-looking design with open spaces where trees and water features define the landscape.

The park was originally laid out in the French style and was transformed into an English garden in the early 1800s. This redesign changed how people experience the space today.

The park takes its name from Biebrich Palace, which sits on the Rhine and shapes the identity of this area. Visitors can see throughout the grounds how the water and designed landscape connect with each other.

The park is free to visit throughout the year and offers well-maintained paths for walking. A bistro with outdoor seating provides a chance to rest while enjoying views of the river.

Standing in the park is a neo-Gothic structure built from stones taken from a demolished church, making it a visible reminder of this unusual reuse. The building shows how materials from earlier times were incorporated into new projects.
