Ballhaus Spandau features multiple dance floors within a protected architectural heritage building situated along the riverside of Berlin's western district.
The venue began as a dance hall in the late 19th century and transformed into a rock disco in 1971, earning recognition as Europe's oldest establishment of its kind.
The establishment gained prominence in the 1980s Berlin music scene when members of Die Ärzte reportedly formed their band while frequenting the dance floors.
The club operates every Friday and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, with dedicated parking spaces available near the bridge on Dorfstraße.
Beyond its rock foundations, the venue has incorporated various music genres including hip hop, electro, reggae, and disco since the 1970s.
