Axelmannstein

The Axelmannstein occupies a classical building with four round corner towers, set within a 30,000-square-meter park containing a small lake.

The first mention of the Ehsilmanstain meadow dates back to 1017 in the property register of Tegernsee Monastery, with Celtic settlements preceding it.

The establishment of Axelmannstein as a spa hotel in 1846 marked the beginning of Bad Reichenhall's development as a state-recognized health resort.

The hotel contains 151 rooms, 5 suites, 6 junior suites, and provides facilities including an indoor pool, sauna, wellness center, restaurant, and bar.

Following a fire in 1834, the property was rebuilt in 1837 as a classical residential building before becoming the city's first spa hotel in 1846.
