Axelmannstein

Axelmannstein is a classical building distinguished by four prominent round corner towers, situated within expansive grounds that include a small lake. The property offers various room types along with diverse facilities for leisure and dining throughout the stay.

The site was documented in the 11th century as Ehsilmanstain meadow and served as a settlement for Celtic peoples in ancient times. After a fire, it was rebuilt in 1837 as a classical residential structure and soon transformed into a spa hotel.

The establishment of Axelmannstein as a spa hotel in 1846 marked the beginning of Bad Reichenhall's development as a state-recognized health resort.

The building is set within a large park-like property that separates it clearly from the surrounding town. Access and navigation through the structure are straightforward, with distinct areas dedicated to rest, wellness, and dining.

The structure was completely redesigned following a devastating fire and received its distinctive four corner towers during reconstruction. This architectural feature became the building's signature element and continues to define the appearance of this historic location.
