Kurgarten Bad Reichenhall

Kurgarten Bad Reichenhall is a spa park and architectural monument featuring manicured walking paths, decorative fountains, and classical pavilions set among cultivated gardens and mature trees. The grounds spread across a substantial area designed for leisurely strolls and rest.

Carl von Effner designed the park in 1868 with a salt water fountain created for therapeutic use. This made the space central to the spa operations in the town and it has remained so ever since.

The concert pavilion hosts musical performances, art exhibitions, and community events throughout the year. These gatherings shape the park's social life and draw people back across the seasons.

The park is open daily to visitors with information points offering details on guided tours and upcoming events. Wide paths and seating areas make it easy to spend time here comfortably regardless of your pace.

The Atlas Fountain at the park's center was restored in 1952 and serves as a key feature of the neo-baroque design. Next to it stands the protected graduation house, which still provides salt water inhalation treatments for visitors.
