Baumberge, Mountain range in Münsterland, Germany.

The Baumberge range stretches between Münster and Coesfeld, reaching its maximum elevation of 187.6 meters at the Westerberg summit.

The limestone composition of Baumberge required local farmers to dig wells up to 50 meters deep to access drinking water throughout past centuries.

The Longinus Tower stands at the highest point of Westerberg, marking the geographical prominence of this North Rhine-Westphalia mountain formation.

The Baumberge area connects to major transport routes with the A43 motorway running 2 kilometers south and the A1 passing 8 kilometers east.

The landscape features a level, treeless plateau with steep forested edges and numerous karst formations including sinkholes and water-absorbing surface structures.
