Bergkirche Schierke, Gothic Revival church in Wernigerode, Germany
The Bergkirche Schierke features red granite altar, oak wood pulpit, and stained glass windows donated by various benefactors throughout its history.
Construction of the current church structure began in 1876 under Count Otto zu Stolberg-Wernigerode's commission and reached completion in 1881.
The church serves as a center for community activities, hosting musical performances, academic discussions, and seasonal worship services throughout the year.
The church office provides services on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 to 12:00 and Thursdays from 14:00 to 16:00.
A Renaissance stove, created between 1578 and 1616, displays biblical scenes including the parable of the prodigal son.
