Bogenhausener Tor, Architectural complex at Vogelweideplatz, Munich, Germany.
Bogenhausener Tor is an architectural complex at Vogelweideplatz in Munich comprising four towers with pentagonal floor plans and sloped roofs. The buildings vary from 46 to 84 meters in height and contain office space, a hotel with 345 rooms, and retail areas across 62,000 square meters total.
The project emerged after completion of the Richard-Strauss-Tunnel in 2006, when an investment firm purchased existing office buildings and a warehouse on the site. Spanish architecture firm Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos won a 2009 design competition to transform the area.
The complex takes its name from the nearby Bogenhausener Gate and visually merges with the surrounding parkland. Visitors notice how green spaces between the towers set this location apart from typical office districts.
The site sits directly beside the A94 motorway and is easily accessible by car with ample parking throughout the complex. It is also reachable by public transport via the U6 line at Candidplatz station.
The Sky Tower offers a rooftop terrace on the 19th floor with views reaching toward the Alps. The Star Tower holds DGNB Silver certification, reflecting the designers' commitment to environmental standards.
