Burg Dottendorf, Castle in Dottendorf, Bonn, Germany

Burg Dottendorf is a former moated castle at Villenstraße 6 in Bonn's Dottendorf district, near Quirinusplatz, and is a listed monument. The present building is an 1895 complete rebuild by Carl Baunscheidt after he had the old castle demolished; it now houses the Bonner Geburtshaus birth house.

The castle was first documented in 1491 as a knight's residence. In the 1890s, industrialist Carl Baunscheidt tore down the original structure and commissioned an entirely new building designed for contemporary living.

The name Dottendorf is tied to the estate that the Herren von Büchel held from 1491 and that passed to the Wasserfass family in 1684. Since June 2010 the building has housed the Bonner Geburtshaus, a birth house, after the Heukamp family renovated it in the 1990s and ran a guesthouse there.
