Burg Staufeneck

Burg Staufeneck is a stone castle on a hill above the Fils valley, featuring 41 rooms that blend historical architecture with modern conveniences. The building displays features from different periods that have been preserved in its current structure as a hotel and restaurant.

The castle was built in 1080 by Ludwig von Staufen as a strategic outpost to monitor northern Swabian lands. Over the centuries, the place shifted in purpose until eventually becoming a lodging and dining establishment.

The restaurant here reflects regional eating customs, with Swabian dishes prepared in contemporary ways. Visitors experience how traditional local ingredients and recipes are reinterpreted in a modern setting during their meals.

Visitors find free parking, internet access, and a breakfast buffet here. The surroundings invite walks, and charging stations for electric vehicles are available on site when needed.
