Burg Sternberg

Burg Sternberg is a medieval fortress built on a hilltop in Extertal, featuring thick stone walls, defensive towers, and a fortified courtyard layout. The complex displays typical features of a military stronghold with clear defensive structures visible throughout.

The fortress began as a 12th century structure and passed through the hands of several noble families including the von Vey and von Krauthausen clans. These families shaped the castle's development and role in the region over several centuries.
