Liebenzell Castle

Liebenzell Castle is a fortress on a hilltop featuring a six-story keep with massively thick walls and a complex interior layout. The structure includes a great hall decorated with ornamental pointed arches and various supporting buildings across the grounds.

The castle was built between 1100 and 1200 by the counts of Calw as a strategic stronghold in the region. In 1196, ownership transferred to the counts of Eberstein, reflecting shifting power among local nobility.

The castle now hosts an international youth forum and serves as a gathering place for exchange and learning. Visitors experience a space where history remains active and people from different backgrounds connect.
