Burg Ingenhoven, Medieval castle in Nettetal, Germany
The rectangular brick structure features a two-story mansion with a steep hipped roof and round corner turrets at each corner of the building.
First documented in 1403, the castle belonged to the Lords of Bocholtz until Dutch troops attacked and burned it in 1581, leading to reconstruction.
The castle maintains architectural elements from multiple centuries, including the lower section of the main building dating back to 1544.
Located at Burgstrasse 10, the castle operates as a hotel-restaurant, open Tuesday through Sunday with specific lunch and dinner service hours.
The castle originally stood on an artificial islet connected by a bridge to the former Haus Lobberich mansion, before the surrounding moats were filled.
