Centrum Warenhaus

The Centrum Warenhaus is a three-story department store in Dresden with a distinctive facade made of aluminum elements that create a silvery appearance. The ground floor features an open showcase zone with transparent surfaces, while the upper levels have more solid wall sections.

The building was constructed between 1973 and 1978 and exemplifies East German architecture through collaboration between German and Hungarian architects. The project reflected the socialist state's ambition to create modern shopping centers.
