The Deutsches Klingenmuseum displays 30,000 objects, including cutting tools, weapons, and cutlery pieces from the Bronze Age to modern times.
Founded in 1904 as a Technical College collection, the institution moved to a restored monastery in 1991 and transformed into the national blade museum.
The museum represents Solingen's heritage as the Blade City through exhibitions of German manufacturing techniques and international cutting implements.
Visitors can explore the collections from Tuesday to Thursday and weekends between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with Friday hours from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
The facility maintains the largest cutlery collection worldwide and features regular demonstrations of traditional sword fighting and pewter casting techniques.
