Schloss Ummendorf, Renaissance castle in Ummendorf, Germany.
The three-story rectangular castle features two round western corner towers and maintains a direct connection to the local church through a dedicated road.
Matthias Manlich, an Augsburg merchant and Imperial Counselor, initiated the castle construction in 1557 after purchasing Ummendorf in 1554.
The castle served as an educational institution for Swabian Benedictine monasteries in the early 17th century, housing the High School until the late 1600s.
The castle's Fürstensaal and garden festival meadow are available for private celebrations, corporate events, and civil wedding ceremonies throughout the year.
The castle functioned as a summer residence for the abbots of Ochsenhausen Monastery and contains baroque wall paintings by Franz Xaver Forchner.
