Niddapark, Public park in Frankfurt, Germany

Niddapark is a large green space along the Nidda River in Frankfurt featuring meadows, wooded areas, and numerous walking paths that wind through the landscape. The site includes multiple zones with playgrounds, sports fields, fitness trails, and a water play area.

The park was created in 1989 for a Federal Garden Exhibition and designed by landscape architect Norfried Pohl. In 1991 it was integrated into Frankfurt's green belt system and has since become part of the city's broader green infrastructure.

The park houses a graffiti gallery beneath the A66 overpass where local artists and youth have collaborated since 2016 to create urban artwork. This space reflects how the park embraces living creative expression from the community.

The park has a well-developed path network and various areas for play and exercise with open spaces and shaded zones for different activities. It's helpful to wear appropriate footwear since the paths traverse varying terrain and conditions that change with the seasons.

The park contains twelve distinctly designed zones that blend different landscapes and uses together. An old boundary marker from 1770 still stands today as a reminder of the territorial divisions that once shaped this land.
