Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Gymnasium, Secondary school in Bonn, Germany
The Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Gymnasium is a protected heritage school building on Endenicher Allee in Bonn's Endenich district. It houses classrooms, science rooms, and a music hall across several floors.
The school was founded in 1882 as a higher civic school and grew into a full gymnasium over the following decades. It took the name of the German writer and patriot Ernst Moritz Arndt in 1938.
The building sits within a residential neighborhood and displays classical architecture from its founding era. Visitors can observe the carefully preserved facade and spacious entrance areas that speak to the city's educational heritage.
The building stands on Endenicher Allee and can be reached easily by public transport. Since it is an active school, the facade is best seen outside of school hours or during holidays.
Since 1932, the school has run its own countryside retreat in Aremberg, where students stay for trips and seminars away from the city. This facility is still in use today, making it one of the few of its kind still active in the region.
