Lohengrin Therme, Thermal spa complex in Bayreuth, Germany.
Lohengrin Therme is a thermal spa in Bayreuth with several indoor pools, sauna areas, and rest zones. The building brings together swimming, sweating, and resting under one roof.
The spa opened in 1999 and draws its water from the Friedrich Well, a recognized thermal spring in the area. Opening this source made local mineral water available for public bathing for the first time.
The thermal complex sits between the spa park Eremitage, former residence of Countess Wilhelmine, the Rotmain Valley nature reserve, and an 18-hole golf course.
The complex is open most days and can be explored at your own pace. Bring a towel and comfortable clothing, as moving between the bathing and sauna areas is easy and encouraged.
The water from the Friedrich Well has taken thousands of years to travel through the earth before reaching the surface. This natural warmth from deep underground is present in the water without any added heating.
