Rodenbeker Quellental

Rodenbeker Quellental is a nature reserve located in northeastern Hamburg featuring springs, streams, and wetlands shaped by ancient glacial processes. The landscape is characterized by flowing water systems that support diverse habitats including woodland along water courses and marsh areas.

This reserve was first established in 1977 to protect the spring systems in the region. The protected area was later enlarged to ensure the ecological processes could continue functioning across a wider landscape.
