Wernborn, District in Usingen, Germany.
Wernborn is a district within Usingen, resting at an elevation of 278 meters (912 feet) in the Naturpark Taunus. Dense woodland encircles the residential settlement, which lies near the Eichkopf mountain.
The settlement first appears in a 1191 document from the Archbishop of Mainz under the name Berenbrunnen. During the administrative reform of Hesse in 1971, it became part of Usingen.
The Protestant church stands as a replacement for a 16th-century predecessor, designed by Friedrich Adler in the late 19th century. The district's name derives from the medieval term Berenbrunnen, which refers to a spring or fountain that once marked the location.
A local council of five members handles district matters and meets regularly to address community concerns. Forest paths offer several routes for walks into the surrounding hills and woodland areas.
Several hiking trails wind through the forests to neighboring settlements, including a route of nearly 10 kilometers (6 miles) to the Eschbach cliffs. Old stone steps and paths cross the terrain, linking houses with the forest edges.
