Forum Alte Werft is a cultural center housed in converted industrial buildings from a former shipyard in Papenburg. The complex features a main hall seating about 900 people, a theater with roughly 240 seats, an art school, and a municipal gallery.

The site was Meyer Werft's shipyard until the company moved to its present location in the 1980s. The city of Papenburg then bought the grounds and turned them into a cultural center, deliberately keeping the industrial traces: production halls were renovated and shipbuilding machinery left in place inside and on the outdoor grounds.

The site's name, Forum Alte Werft, refers to the old Meyer Werft shipyard. Today it houses Papenburg Kultur's theatre and events programme, the Zinnober art school and the Städtische Galerie. In 2014 it served as the second venue of the 5th Niedersächsische Landesgartenschau, alongside the Stadtpark.

The site's industrial past is not confined to the halls: machines used in shipbuilding at the time stand both inside the building and on the outdoor grounds. The building structure itself consists largely of the renovated production halls of the former Meyer Werft.
