Martin Luther's Birth House, Museum and cultural heritage site in Lutherstadt Eisleben, Germany.

Martin Luther's Birth House is a three-story building in Eisleben featuring traditional German architecture from the late 17th century. The structure now houses a museum with exhibits that document the life and era of the Protestant reformer.

The original house burned down in 1689 and was reconstructed in 1693 to preserve the birthplace of the reformer. This restoration made the structure a significant monument to Protestant history.

The building is named after the Protestant reformer whose birthplace visitors come to honor. You will see objects from different periods that reflect daily life and beliefs from the time of his arrival.

The museum is located in the old town and is easily reached on foot. Plan to spend at least two hours to explore the different exhibition areas at a comfortable pace.

Excavations in 2006 uncovered pottery fragments and clay flooring from the original house on the site. These archaeological finds offer direct insight into living conditions from the 15th century.
