Wolfner Mühle, طاحونة مائية في ألمانيا
Wolfner Mühle is a watermill and sawmill in Crottendorf located where the Erbisbächel stream meets the Große Mittweida river. The building now stands as ruins with stone walls and deteriorating structures gradually being reclaimed by nature.
The mill was built in the 16th century initially serving the local mining industry by processing wood. After Swedish troops attacked and burned it in 1640, it was rebuilt and continued operating until the late 1800s when it was converted into a carpentry shop.
The site is accessible via a walking trail from Mittweida-Markersbach train station. Visitors should know the ruins lie isolated in the forest and are reachable year-round, though caution is needed due to unstable structures.
In the 1920s the mill was converted into a restaurant and guesthouse with a terrace becoming a popular destination for visitors and winter sports enthusiasts. The building generated electricity from water power before later connecting to the power grid.
