Sculptures in the Grugapark

The sculpture collection at Grugapark contains over 40 artworks made from materials such as bronze, marble, and stainless steel throughout the landscaped gardens.

The Grugapark opened in 1929 and gradually incorporated sculptures from different artistic movements, representing the evolution of German art through the 20th century.

Artists like Henry Moore, Brigitte Matschinsky-Denninghoff, and Alfred Hrdlicka have contributed significant works to the park's permanent collection of outdoor sculptures.

The sculpture garden remains open throughout the year, allowing visitors to experience how natural light and seasonal changes affect the appearance of each artwork.

The Imploded Pyramid by Ewerdt Hilgemann, created in 2002, stands at the Linden Circle measuring 250 centimeters in height with its distinctive satin stainless steel surface.
