Galluskirche

The Galluskirche features a three-nave basilica structure with five bays, decorated capitals, and two semi-circular apses framing the choir section.

Archaeological excavations revealed that a wooden church existed at this location around 650 CE, followed by a stone structure built near 680 CE.

The south portal tympanum displays intricate carvings of Christ, Mary, and John the Baptist, surrounded by elaborately sculpted capitals and decorative elements.

The church maintains regular visiting hours throughout the day and connects to multiple hiking trails, including the 5.39-kilometer Schloss Brenz loop.

A Roman altar with inscriptions honoring Apollo Grannus, a Gallo-Roman deity, remains incorporated within the southern side apse of the church.
