Gehringshof, Agricultural estate in Neuhof, Germany
Gehringshof is an agricultural estate in the rural area near Fulda with multiple farm buildings and land areas. The complex comprises several structures arranged around courtyards in a traditional rural layout.
The property was acquired in 1929 to serve as a training center for people preparing to leave Europe. After 1945, survivors created a new agricultural training community at the same location.
The site reflects its role as a place where young people gathered to learn skills for building a different future together. The layout and buildings show how a community organized itself around shared work and purpose.
The site is located in a rural setting and is not easy to reach without a car. It is advisable to check beforehand if visits are possible, as this is a private historical property.
Around 50 survivors from concentration camps came together here in 1945 to build a new community and create hope right after the war. This new beginning allowed people to live together again after enormous losses.
