Fränkische-Schweiz-Museum

The museum contains 43 exhibition rooms presenting artifacts, photographs, and collections illustrating local traditions, geology, and regional craftsmanship of Franconian Switzerland.

The building complex, known as Judenhof, incorporates an original 18th-century synagogue, reflecting the historical Jewish presence in the Franconian region.

The exhibitions present detailed information about regional farming practices, guild systems, traditional costumes, and religious customs from Neanderthal times to present day.

The museum opens daily from 10:00 to 17:00, offering free admission for visitors under 18 and special arrangements for groups of 15 or more people.

The museum building stands among distinctive rock formations, remnants of ancient coral reefs that existed in a tropical sea during the Jurassic period.
