SLT 107 Schwabenlandtower, Unfinished high-rise in Fellbach, Germany

SLT 107 Schwabenlandtower is a 107-metre unfinished tower on the old B 14 road in eastern Fellbach, built from 2014 to 2016 and never completed. Its facade is clad in green-tinted glass panels with dark horizontal bands at each floor level, and a light-grey vertical strip runs down the centre of the front. On the left face, open structural floors and scaffolding remain, with small orange elements attached; a broad, low white building with rows of small square windows sits at its base.

The site held the Ferdinand Fromm GmbH woodworking machinery factory from 1967 until its 1992 bankruptcy. A 215-room hotel called Le Village was begun there in the 1990s but abandoned unfinished in 1995, and its ruin was demolished only decades later. The tower itself was presented in September 2007, approved by the Fellbach council on 13 May 2014, and topped out on 9 September 2016. The builder GEWA 5 to 1 filed for insolvency on 18 November 2016 and work stopped; in September 2018 the CG Gruppe bought the shell for 15 million euros and renamed it SLT 107 Schwabenlandtower.

The name Gewa-Tower was an acronym of builder Michael Georg Warbanoff's middle and last names; since the 2018 purchase by CG Gruppe it has been called SLT 107 Schwabenlandtower. The unfinished shell stands beside the old B14 road to Waiblingen, and since February 2018 a NABU nest box with cameras on the roof has hosted peregrine and kestrel falcons.

The tower is an unfinished shell: construction stopped in November 2016 and the crane was dismantled in July 2023, so it cannot be entered. It stands in eastern Fellbach on the old B 14 road toward Waiblingen, visible from the surrounding fields. In February 2018 NABU Fellbach mounted a nest box with cameras on the roof for peregrine and kestrel falcons.
