Schwabenlandhalle, architectural structure
The Schwabenlandhalle is an event venue in Fellbach featuring nine flexible rooms that are bright and fully equipped with technical facilities. The building combines a traditional section with a modern extension added in 2006, which has large windows and high ceilings creating an open spatial feeling.
The building was designed by architect Gerhard Keller and opened in 1976 after four years of construction from 1972. After 2004, it received a modern extension adding 1000 square meters of space, designed by Stuttgart-based architects.
The name Schwabenlandhalle refers to the Swabian region to which Fellbach belongs. The venue is used by people from across the area for celebrations, conferences, and cultural events, shaping the community's social life.
The venue is accessible by tram from Stuttgart and sits near Stuttgart Airport, making travel convenient. Parking spaces and a directly connected hotel with restaurant make visiting easier.
The venue has a large connected foyer area with glass sliding walls that can host several smaller events simultaneously or one large gathering. This unusual flexibility in how spaces can be separated and combined sets it apart from typical event halls.
