Goethegymnasium Weißenfels

The Goethegymnasium Weißenfels is a secondary school for students in grades 5 through 12 housed across two buildings on the campus. The school teaches multiple languages and follows a modern curriculum designed to prepare students for university-level studies.

The school originates from the Augusteum founded by Duke Augustus in 1664, which functioned as an educational institution for centuries. Following the changes of German reunification, the current gymnasium took its present form in 1991 with a renewed educational mission.
