Gläser-Berg

Gläser-Berg is a mountain summit in the Rhön range that rises to approximately 670 meters and overlooks the Felda valley below. The peak sits within a broader mountain landscape shaped by natural slopes and open vistas across the surrounding terrain.

The mountain area contains historical crosses and memorial stones marking religious traditions that date back to the 15th century. These monuments reflect the long-standing spiritual importance of this elevated location.

Local residents celebrate monthly baking days at the traditional stone oven house in Brunnhartshausen, maintaining regional culinary customs.

A hiking trail connects the surrounding villages to the summit and includes rest areas along the way. The route is well marked with several viewpoints where you can stop to take in the surroundings.

From this elevation you can see three notable landmarks on clear days: Wartburg Castle, Schneekopf peak, and Heidelstein mountain. This wide visibility makes the location a valuable viewpoint for understanding the geography of the region.
