Haseder Busch

Haseder Busch is a protected nature reserve in Giesen featuring ancient hardwood forests, lake areas, and wetland zones along the river landscape. The different habitats provide space for diverse animal and plant life.

This area was protected as a nature reserve in 1974 and has been maintained as an important habitat since then. The designation was made to preserve the typical floodplain forest vegetation and the animal species living within it.

The forest serves as a space for people to observe and explore nature on foot, with its lakes and reed areas allowing visitors to watch birds and wildlife up close.

Multiple marked hiking trails run through the protected area and allow visitors of different fitness levels to explore easily. Signage and information boards help with orientation throughout your visit.

In spring, a colorful carpet of wildflowers including wood anemones covers the forest floor. This blooming season makes the reserve a special place for nature lovers during the cooler months.
