Gut Deesberg

The Gut Deesberg estate stands in the Rehme district of Bad Oeynhausen, positioned south of the Wiehen and Weser mountains, west of the Weser River.

In 1567, Droste Bertram von Landsberg relocated from his castle to establish this manor house, which later transferred to the Freiherren von der Horst family in 1655.

The estate demonstrates the evolution of German agricultural practices, transitioning from traditional farming to modern ecological cultivation methods under the Rolfsmeyer family management.

The property maintains a direct sales system for organic beef and other agricultural products, offering customers access to locally produced goods.

The estate included a brick manufacturing facility from 1790 until 1962, initially created for construction purposes before expanding into commercial production.
