Handelshof Leipzig is a building complex that occupies an entire block between Naschmarkt, Grimmaische Straße, Reichsstraße, and Salzgäßchen. Its facades feature rounded arches and stone decorations throughout.
History
The building was created in 1908 as an exhibition hall, designed by architects Georg Weidenbach and Richard Tschammer. It replaced an earlier structure called Burgkellerblock that had occupied the site from 1565 to 1907.
Culture
The building displays sculptural works by Leipzig artist Bruno Wollstädter across its facades. These artistic elements shape the character of the square today and invite close observation.

The site is accessible today and houses a hotel, shops, offices, and restaurants spread throughout. Visitors can explore the exterior architecture and the plaza layout at any time.
