Schloss Tiengen, Château in Waldshut-Tiengen, Germany
The castle complex consists of two separate buildings: the Old Castle with its defense tower and the New Castle, positioned above the historic town center.
The original defensive structure from the 11th century belonged to the Krenkingen nobles before being rebuilt after losses during the Swiss War in 1499.
The Old Castle section houses the Tiengen Heritage Museum, which presents exhibits documenting the history of the local Jewish community through artifacts.
The castle opens its doors for various events throughout the year, including concerts, exhibitions, and the annual Schwyzertag festival celebrations.
Located at the intersection of three valleys, the castle rises ten meters above the historic district near a baroque parish church.
