Hochwasserrückhaltebecken Straußfurt

The Hochwasserrückhaltebecken Straußfurt is a water storage facility designed to capture and manage water during heavy rainfall periods. The basin has multiple spillways and control outlets that distribute water flow in a regulated manner when flood conditions occur.

The facility was built as a protection measure against flooding in the region and later underwent upgrades. In 2021, Tractebel Hydroprojekt completed extensive improvements to increase water storage capacity.
