Schloss Reichartshausen
Schloss Reichartshausen, Medieval castle in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany
Located between vineyards and the Rhine River, Schloss Reichartshausen features a U-shaped structure with classical architecture and an internal courtyard.
Built between 1737 and 1740 by Abbot Hermann Hungrighausen, the castle replaced a major wine trading post that operated since 1152.
The castle grounds include a Burmese tea house, replicating the entrance hall of Mandalay's royal palace, installed in the park in 1971.
Since 1980, Schloss Reichartshausen houses the EBS Business School, making it an educational center for business and law studies in Germany.
The castle's original wine cellar operated as the largest storage and transfer point for wines from the nearby Eberbach Monastery.
