Hofbräuhaus-Kunstmühle

The Hofbräuhaus-Kunstmühle is a gristmill in central Munich that has produced flour varieties for bakeries and home users since its establishment. The facility uses traditional milling methods and processes grains from local farmers into different flour types.

The mill was founded in the 1870s and is registered today as an architectural monument in Bavaria. It has operated as a specialty flour producer for more than a century.

The mill works closely with local farmers and grinds grain varieties that have been grown in Bavaria for generations. Visitors can see how these grains are transformed into quality flours for bakeries and home bakers.

The building is located on Neuturmstraße in central Munich and is easily reached by public transportation. Keep in mind that this is an active production facility, so visiting hours may be limited.

The mill processes rare grain varieties such as Graf Töring II wheat, which have special baking properties and are preserved for their genetic diversity. These heritage varieties are not available in regular trade and give the building an important role in preserving Bavarian farming traditions.
