Huttenburg Altengronau, Renaissance castle ruin in Sinntal, Germany.

The three-story stone structure features two round corner towers and stands at an elevation of 235 meters above sea level.

Alexander von Hutten constructed the castle between 1548 and 1552, using materials from a previous fortification of the Hutten family.

The castle served multiple functions throughout centuries, including roles as a granary, hospital for railway workers, and educational facility until 1960.

Friedrich Karl Freiherr von Hutten zum Stolzenberg maintains private ownership of the property since 1983, residing within the historical structure.

The defensive wall that once enclosed the rectangular castle area with its corner towers has completely disappeared from the landscape.
