Hoher Stein, Observation tower and natural monument in Plauen district, Dresden, Germany.
The stone tower rises 12 meters above a rock formation, offering views across the Plauenschen Grund valley and surrounding Dresden landscapes.
Friedrich August Frohberg constructed the tower in 1864 after purchasing the land for 600 thalers and establishing a guesthouse called Zum Hohen Stein.
The tower features a bust of King Friedrich August II and stands as a testament to Dresden's 19th-century architectural and recreational development.
Visitors can access the tower Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00, with closures on December 24th and December 31st.
The tower's original hollow masonry design was modified in 1928 with the addition of a reinforced concrete roof and enclosed walls.
