Schloss Stepperg, Noble estate in Rennertshofen, Germany

Schloss Stepperg is a castle in Rennertshofen positioned along the Usel river with a three-wing layout and square towers at its western corners. The structure creates a defined courtyard space and displays solid architecture typical of the region's noble estates.

The estate passed to the Wittelsbacher family in 1247 from the Pappenheimer line and became a seat of ministerial administration. This transition established its role as an important local administrative center for the region.

The estate shapes the local landscape through its position along the Usel river and its distinctive towers visible from far away. Visitors can observe how the building integrates with its surroundings in a way that still defines the area's character.

The castle remains private property of the Moy family and is not open for regular visits. Any photography or filming on the grounds requires prior permission from the owners.

The park was designed by Friedrich von Sckell, a renowned landscape architect of the period, and contains a Hermes sculpture by Ludwig von Schwanthaler. This artistic combination reveals the owners' cultural ambitions and their connections to leading artists of their time.
