Justizzentrum Magdeburg

The Justizzentrum Magdeburg contains multiple courts and legal institutions within a four-wing complex between Breiter Weg and Max-Josef-Metzger-Strasse.

Built between 1895 and 1899 as the main post office, the building was transformed into a justice center during extensive renovations from 2005 to 2007.

The building incorporates Dutch late Gothic architecture on its stone facade, German Renaissance style at the rear, and neo-Gothic elements in the main structure.

The justice center provides 30 courtrooms, four training rooms, and a central library across 35,000 square meters of office space for 550 employees.

Named after Eike von Repgow, author of the Sachsenspiegel, one of Germany's earliest law books from the 13th century.
