Karmelitenkloster Abensberg

Karmelitenkloster Abensberg is a monastery complex with a church, a cloister featuring pointed arch windows, and multiple functional spaces arranged across different levels. The layout reflects the practical needs of monastic life, with areas for worship, communal living, and daily work.

The monastery was founded in 1389 by Count Johannes II of Abensberg and Agnes von Lichtenstein, receiving papal confirmation the following year. It became an important center for religious life in the region for centuries afterward.
