Kaiser-Friedrich-Turm, Observation tower in Haspe, Germany.
The Kaiser-Friedrich-Turm is a brick observation tower standing 17 meters tall in Haspe, positioned on elevated ground above the district. From its top, visitors can see across the surrounding landscape and valley.
An original wooden structure was destroyed by lightning and storms, after which the community built this stone tower in 1910. The new construction was funded by donations from local supporters.
The tower is named after German Emperor Frederick III and displays his portrait in bronze at the entrance. The structure reflects local residents' respect for imperial history.
The stairs to the summit are steep but lead to unobstructed views across the region. Visitors should wear sturdy footwear and enjoy the panorama best during clear weather.
The tower is part of the Hagen Three Towers Trail, a hiking route connecting multiple historical landmarks across the landscape. This path shows how the region preserves its past through such structures.
