Kloster Kreuzberg

The monastery complex sits at 928 meters elevation in the Rhön Mountains, featuring a church, prayer rooms, brewery facilities, and accommodation buildings.

Following its construction in 1677, the monastery received official recognition in 1692 and established its brewing operations in 1731 under Franciscan supervision.

The monastery maintains traditional beer production methods, creating three regular varieties and a seasonal Christmas beer, with an annual output of 8,500 hectoliters.

Visitors can access the monastery daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with beer purchases available Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Located on the highest point of Bavarian Rhön, the monastery combines religious activities with skiing facilities, hiking trails, and a professional brewing operation.
