Kloster Oeventrop

Kloster Oeventrop is a red brick building at the edge of the Oeventrop district in Arnsberg that served as a training center for future priests. The site includes surrounding farmland and forest that provide space and seclusion for the religious community.

The monastery was founded in 1902 by the Sacred Hearts of Jesus missionary community and operated as a seminary until 1969. It played a central role in religious education for nearly seven decades.

The monastery housed an extensive library that provided visitors with insights into missionary work and global connections. The collection displayed objects from distant regions, reflecting how the community engaged with the wider world through its religious mission.
