Kloster Hofen, Benedictine monastery in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
The monastery complex includes a large convent building and church with detailed stucco work, situated on the shores of Lake Constance.
Founded in 1085 by Berta, wife of Count Otto I of Buchhorn, the monastery operated as a religious institution until its dissolution in 1803.
The monastery maintained control over the parish church of St Andreas and Pantaleon, directing religious activities throughout the surrounding region.
The former monastery buildings now function as Schloss Friedrichshafen, hosting annual summer festivals organized by a charitable foundation.
Swedish forces completely destroyed the original monastery structures during the Thirty Years' War in 1634, leading to its complete reconstruction.
