Betonhalle, Cultural heritage monument in Leipzig, Germany
The Betonhalle features a central rotunda covered by a concrete dome with a diameter of 32 meters, supported by 16 concrete columns.
Built in 1913 for the International Building Trade Exhibition, the Betonhalle required 24,000 tons of concrete and 400 tons of steel for its construction.
The circular hall displays architectural elements reminiscent of the Roman Pantheon, with a portico and two circular galleries surrounding the main space.
Located at Puschstrasse 10 in Leipzig's Old Trade Fair grounds, the venue accommodates up to 2000 people for various types of gatherings.
The concrete dome measures only 8 centimeters in thickness while spanning a hall that reaches 28 meters in height.
